Getting Started

Does VetMed Pro require an account or subscription?

No account, ever. VetMed Pro uses a one-time purchase model. Buy it once, own it. All features unlock permanently — no recurring fees, no login required.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. The entire drug database, all calculators, patient records, and clinical tools are stored on your device. You can use VetMed Pro with zero network connection — in the field, in surgery, anywhere.

Which devices does VetMed Pro support?

iPhone (iOS 17.0+) and iPad. The app is optimized for iPhone but runs on iPad natively.

Drug Reference

How current is the drug database?

The database is updated with each app release. Drug monographs reference standard veterinary formularies including current AVMA and FDA-approved labeling. We recommend always verifying critical doses against the current package insert for unfamiliar drugs.

Does the interaction checker work offline?

Yes. The interaction database is fully on-device and works without any network connection.

Which species are covered?

Dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds (psittacines and raptors), reptiles, ferrets, and small mammals. Drug monographs specify which dosing data is available per species.

Patient Data & Privacy

Where is patient data stored?

All patient records, SOAP notes, visit history, and clinical data are stored locally on your device. We have no server and cannot access your data.

How does iCloud backup work?

VetMed Pro automatically backs up your data to your personal iCloud Drive — not to our servers. Backups are encrypted by Apple and accessible only under your Apple ID. Up to 10 rolling snapshots are retained. New snapshots only upload when data actually changes.

Is VetMed Pro HIPAA-compliant?

VetMed Pro stores all data locally and does not transmit patient information to any server. As a local-only application without cloud services, it falls outside the scope of HIPAA's covered entity / business associate framework. Consult your compliance officer for your practice's specific requirements.

DEA & Controlled Substances

Is the DEA log print-ready?

Yes. The controlled substance log produces a DEA-compliant CII binder format with dispensed amounts, lot numbers, and a running balance. You can export it as a PDF directly from the app.

Does the app handle Schedule III–V drugs too?

Yes. The log covers all DEA Schedule II–V controlled substances dispensed through your practice.

Purchases & Refunds

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open VetMed Pro on your new device and tap Restore Purchases in Settings. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your unlock will restore automatically at no charge.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund within Apple's standard window.

How do I report a drug data error?

Drug accuracy is critical. Email us at support@zima-logistics.com with the drug name, the value in question, and your reference source. We investigate and push corrections in the next release.
